Friendship Rally: The Flaws of Friendship Sisterhood
FLAW- Average Friendship
LAW- Extraordinary Friendship
True Friendship can be hard to navigate (ask any woman!), but if we can get it right, it can be the catalyst that changes everything in our lives! (Our friends Sharon and Kelly, who were on the podcast last week, can testify to that! Listen here.)
I often wonder why we treat Friendship as a luxury relegated to the periphery of our lives, as something we can take or leave depending on our moods or schedules. Perhaps we don’t see it rightly or as important as it is. Maybe we think we’re fine without it or have never experienced it in its fullness. Or maybe we’re just too scared to give ourselves over to it.
But True Friendship, in the biblical sense, is so much more than the entertainment value of monthly dinners, text threads, and the liberty to come and go based on who’s mad at whom and who got on our nerves this week. That’s what the world does, Sister, but for us there’s so much more!
As women of faith, our heritage is birthed from a rich line of Friendship that surrendered royal robes and swords because love was stronger than blood (David and Jonathan). We realize that sometimes friendship looks like mentorship because all of us need to be raised (Elijah and Elisha). We know our need for a partner to scour the land with us when everyone else is afraid (Caleb and Joshua). We need someone who will argue with us and challenge us, pushing us to the brink of our convictions (Paul and Barnabas). And we need someone to stay awake with us when everyone else falls asleep (Jesus and the disciples in the Garden).
Friendship is no Ordinary Love. This is a love that invites us to experience and become the love that Jesus died for. It’s contagious, inspiring, and resurrecting, and exactly the kind of empowering love that we want to celebrate at The Flaws – the life-changing power of biblical, Spirit Fueled Sisterhood!
Soooo, on that note… We excitedly invite you to our very first:
This Monthly LIVE Event will be held within the |CLOSED| Facebook group, Friendship Rally: The Flaws of Friendship Sisterhood on February 19th @ 6:30pm EST. If you’ve been engaged on our page and podcast and feel the call to Spirit Fueled Sisterhood, now you can take it to the Next Level, which allows more participation and deeper connection with us and one another. This IS the Sisterhood!

Lord, thank you for Friendship and for the call into Sisterhood, the kind that champions You through our lives together. We pray that You would bless every woman out there who longs for deep love and connection with other women, and that you would turn this world to the love that took You to the cross. We receive it ourselves and through the Friends You’ve given to us. In Your name, Amen.
